About
M.A.D. Monsters
M.A.D. Monsters is a global art and kindness experiment.
Each monster is handmade and placed somewhere in the world — waiting to be found.
If you find one, it’s yours… but there’s a catch.
You’re invited to do something good.
It doesn’t have to be big, just something kind, something human.
Then you can choose to keep the monster, leave it, gift it, or hide it again for someone else to discover.
Every time a monster is found, a small ripple starts — a moment of connection, generosity, and curiosity.
Together, those moments become something bigger.
M.A.D Monsters exists to remind us that kindness can be simple, creative, and shared.
And that even the smallest actions can travel farther than we think.
Why
Because the world can feel heavy.
And sometimes all it takes is a small, strange, unexpected thing to remind us we’re connected.
MAD Monsters was created by Charlotte Burns — an artist and maker based in the California desert.
What started as small handmade clay creatures became a way to spark connection, curiosity, and kindness in unexpected places.
Each one-of-a-kind monster is placed into the world with the hope that it finds the right person at the right moment.
